Unitree H2-X: the 'kung fu' humanoid that lifts a car
Kung fu kicks, a jump from a 4-metre platform and a car rescue. What Unitree's H2-X video shows, and what it doesn't tell us yet.
Chinese robot maker Unitree released a video on 21 October 2026 of its new humanoid, the H2-X, nicknamed a "kung fu legend".
What the video shows
- Kung fu kicks and fast martial-arts moves
- A jump down from a platform about 4 metres high
- Lifting the front of a car to rescue a dummy trapped underneath
The base robot
The H2-X builds on Unitree's H2, which stands about 6 feet (182 cm) tall, weighs about 70 kg and has 31 joints.
What we don't know
- The video doesn't make clear whether the robot acts autonomously or under remote control.
- Price and launch date haven't been announced.
Rescue hero or scary future? Either way, humanoid robots are moving faster than most people expected.
